Hi, I'm Ellie
Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, I always knew that I wanted to do something creative. In high school this took form in my theater experience as well as my work in the classroom. I quickly realized I had a passion for writing, current-issues, and truth seeking.
I helped organize and direct the first all female showcase at my high school, Lovett, and worked with the swimming and diving teams.
After graduating, I came to Northeastern University looking for a drastic change and, as I soon realized, a bit of a challenge. I have continued to work hard both in and out of the classroom, honing my passion of writing into a desire to learn as much as I can. Besides classroom work, I also write for Northeastern's fashion and lifestyle magazine, The Avenue and am a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.
I have been fortunate enough to hold internship positions at Forbes Travel Guide in 2019 and The Bert Show in 2020. In doing so, I was able to test my skills in a professional setting, the former in person and the latter remotely while in lockdown. These experiences confirmed the professional direction I'm looking to head in.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, free-writing, hiking, cooking, playing guitar and piano, and of course, spending time with my friends. I am an experienced OutLook, Google, and Microsoft Suite user. More than anything, I am passionate about social issues, politics, and finding solutions. Thank you!
